A youth rugby team in South Wales have been scoring tries in style this season thanks to a brand new kit.

This season, players from Croesyceiliog RFC, in Gwent, have looked the part in their new team strip, bearing the club’s crest.

The new kit was funded by Asset VRS and Hardstaff Barriers, leading manufacturers and suppliers of roadside safety barriers and perimeter security systems.

The companies are part of Hill and Smith Holdings, an international group, which is committed to supporting local communities by delivering economic benefits, partnering with schools, sponsoring local sports clubs and recruiting locally.

Claire Manley, Croesyceiliog RFC Team Manager, said; “Can we say a big thank you for all your support in sponsoring Croesyceiliog RFC for a new kit.

“We really do appreciate the support to help us be able to get a new kit for the new season. Without your help we wouldn’t have been able to do this.”

Known locally as the Cockerels, Croesyceiliog RFC was founded in 1881 and has played at the ground at Woodlands Road, Croesyceiliog, since the 1960s.

Dave Todd, Director at Hardstaff Barriers, said: “Once again, we are delighted to be supporting a local sports team. It’s great to hear that they are getting on so well with their new kit.

“We have supported a number of local sports clubs over the years, and believe that these teams are such an important part of local communities and have so much to offer young people.”

“We really do appreciate the support to help us be able to get a new kit for the new season. Without your help we wouldn’t have been able to do this.”
